Book Drive Success!

NEOMED’s chapter of the American Medical Association would like to thank everyone who graciously donated to the book drive held in February. We collected over 500 books! With your help, we were able to donate the books to Akron’s Project Rise and the Head Start in Ravenna. Project Rise is a collaboration among Akron Public Schools, local shelters and the community, that empowers students and families to improve the quality of their lives through educational, cultural and community support services and resources. Project Rise plans on distributing the books to families and shelters in the Akron area. Head Start federal programs promote the school readiness of infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children from low-income families. The books you donated for children under five will be used to help our local Head Start program support their students’ growth. Thank you!
