From NEOMED’s first Giving Day Challenge in 2014 to last year’s Giving Day Huntington Match, the event has been the single largest day of giving to our annual campaign, the Blue Fund. Every year, the giving has gone viral, making each Giving Day exponentially bigger than the match challenge. The secret: Our NEOMED community gives, and then encourages their family and friends to do the same!
On Wednesday, June 7, we will have perhaps our most important Giving Day yet, as we head into July for our final 12-month countdown to the close of the Shine On campaign. Giving Day is part of our Blue Fund, which is included in the fundraising efforts of Shine On—the University’s $40 million comprehensive campaign.
This year, Huntington has again committed to match every unrestricted dollar raised, up to $35,000! In 2014, 2015 and 2016, we more than matched, doubled and tripled, respectively, the match challenges. So, this year, let’s not only match the challenge amount—let’s quadruple it!
Encourage your family and friends to give during this 24-hour period, too. And although we love the Cavs, and know they will bring home a win, please wear your Giving Day T-shirt, and bring home the giving.
