Charles Thodeti Elected to National Office

Congratulations to Charles Thodeti, Ph.D., who has been elected president of the Association of Scientists of Indian Origin in America (ASIOA).

Dr. Thodeti is an associate professor in the Department of Integrative Medical Sciences and a scientist in the Heart and Blood Vessel Disease Research Focus Area.

The ASIOA’s membership includes professors and scientists at national research laboratories and in the pharmaceutical industry, as well as postdoctoral fellows and student members. The organization meets annually at the Experimental Biology Conference. Its members train scientists immigrating from India, mentor junior faculty and postdoctoral/predoctoral fellows, and guide Indian high school and college students in summer research projects.
