College of Medicine Announces New Award to Recognize Faculty Who Make Curriculum Innovations

The College of Medicine Office of Medical Education is excited to announce a new faculty development opportunity for current College of Medicine (COM) teaching faculty. The Education Innovation Award was created to support faculty in developing more diverse ways to actively engage learners. Successful awardees will propose projects that enhance the curriculum to provide an exceptional student experience.

All faculty currently teaching the COM curriculum are eligible for the award. The maximum award amount is $5,000, limited to a maximum of one award per module/course and one award per applicant per academic year. Successful project proposals will support a formal NEOMED COM curricular component and align with COM Educational Program objectives. More details on the application process and requirements can be found on the Curriculum Change Initiative website.

Applications will be accepted quarterly, with the first deadline on July 15. The first award announcement will be made September 1. For more information on the award or application process, please contact COM Faculty Development at comfacdev@neomed.edu or check out the COM Faculty Development website.
