It is with mixed emotions that I am announcing the departure of Jennifer Piatt, J.D., from NEOMED effective February 6, 2017. Jennifer has accepted the position of Associate Vice President for Academic Budget and Resource Management at Kent State University. In her new role, she will provide leadership, vision, direction, and coordination of efforts for the various financial units within the Division of Academic Affairs, including all colleges on the Kent campus as well as regional campuses. In this work, she will coordinate and direct divisional strategic priorities, and analyze and develop recommendations to improve institutional processes impacting Academic Affairs, reporting to the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost.
Jennifer has served at NEOMED for five years. As the College of Medicine’s Executive Director for Operations, she has been a problem solver, a translator, a peacemaker, and a bridge builder as we have navigated the many challenges of operating our college. She has consistently managed sensitive issues professionally, and has helped the leadership team blaze new trails in its continued growth and development. She leaves this place a better institution as a result of her contributions to our success.
Please stop by the College of Medicine conference room on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for a piece of cake and a cup of coffee and join me in thanking her for her years of service to NEOMED, and congratulating her on her new role.
I wish her every success going forward.
Dr. Elisabeth Young
Interim Vice President for Health Affairs
