Continuation of Ombuds Services

Dear NEOMED Community:

Since October 2014, Dr. Angela Dash has served as the charter Ombuds for all students, faculty and staff. This service allows any member of the campus community, to work through university-related issues, concerns and disputes in an informal and “off-the-record” way – tough situations if not timely and constructively managed, can lead to a decline not only in the workplace or academic environments, but in the morale and success of our community members.

Since February 26, 2018, Ombuds services has provided services by phone or videoconference (i.e. Zoom). This remote Ombuds model is successfully practiced in many organizations world-wide, including on college/university campuses. Dr. Dash has continued to provide quality and responsive services so that students, faculty and staff of NEOMED, will also continue to have a successful Ombuds program.

We would like to share Dr. Dash will continue to provide remote Ombuds services to students, faculty and staff as an informal, confidential and off-the-record neutral. Dr. Dash can continue to be reached at  ombuds@angeladash.com or 330-281-0339 and appointments can be conveniently scheduled using her online scheduler.

Students also have the option of bringing forth university-related issues, concerns and disputes to the following individuals who can address the concerns or issues, as well as provide resources.

  • Sandra Emerick, Ed. D, Senior Executive Director for Academic Affairs and Student Services
  • Anita Pokorny, M.Ed., Assistant Dean of Student Affairs, College of Medicine
