COP Establishes an Office of Assessment

The College of Pharmacy has established an Office of Assessment to support the College’s assessment program as it relates to its academic, programmatic and accreditation goals. Seth Brownlee, Pharm.D., BCCCP, associate dean of assessment and associate professor of pharmacy practice, will lead the office.

The College has realigned the roles of existing staff members to support the Office of Assessment. Kelly Shrock, administrative coordinator, has been with the College since 2014 and came to us from Johnson University in Knoxville, Tenn., where she worked in the Office of Institutional Effectiveness. Madison Ivan, M.A., Ed.S., will join the office as academic assessment specialist on October 3. Ivan joined the College earlier this year as a program coordinator to support pharmacy programs in the College of Graduate Studies. She received her educational specialist degree in higher education administration from Kent State University along with a certificate in Institutional Research and Assessment. Ivan will continue to support these graduate programs during this transition.

The College looks forward to being able to centralize its assessment program and to continue its relationships with the Offices of Institutional Research and Academic Services, as well as collaborating with other University partners.
