Dr. File Named President of Infectious Diseases Society of America

Congratulations to Thomas File Jr., M.D., NEOMED Master Teacher and chair of the University’s Infectious Disease Section, for being named as the Infectious Diseases Society of America’s newest president.

In a recent IDSA press release, Dr. File said, “Infectious diseases touch the lives of every individual every day, whether they are aware of it or not. From containing and preventing measles outbreaks to fighting antimicrobial resistance, the role of the infectious diseases professional has never been more important. I look forward to leading the Society of the most astute and committed physicians and scientists in the field.”
