Dr. Kunal Amin Joins the College of Pharmacy and Pharmacy Innovations

Please see below for a letter issued by Richard Kasmer, Pharm.D., J.D.

It is my pleasure to announce the appointment of Kunal Amin, BSPS, Pharm.D., R.Ph., as assistant professor of pharmacy practice, effective March 5, 2018. Dr. Amin will maintain teaching, scholarship and service responsibilities in addition to practice site responsibilities with Pharmacy Innovations, LLC, where he will serve as the director of clinical services.

In addition to running the day-to-day operations of Pharmacy Innovations, Dr. Amin will lead the NEOMED health-plan medication therapy management services, telehealth services and new contract/service development.

Dr. Amin first joined NEOMED on a part-time basis spring of 2017, where he led a pilot program for Southwest General Health Center to perform medication therapy management services using telehealth technologies. The success of this pilot has resulted in a continued arrangement with Southwest General Health Center and provides opportunities for growth with other partners.

Prior to his full-time appointment with NEOMED, Dr. Amin was a clinical pharmacist and coordinator for Giant Eagle Pharmacy where he served as the regional MTM/clinical supervisor for the Cleveland/Akron-Canton region. He received his Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from the University of Toledo. Dr. Amin holds licensure in three states (Ohio, Florida, and Texas).

Please join me in congratulating Dr. Amin in his new role.

Richard Kasmer, Pharm.D., J.D.
Dean, College of Pharmacy
