Mike Kerrigan, a former associate director of community relations at NEOMED, has been appointed to fill a vacant Portage County commissioner seat. Kerrigan was voted in by the Portage County Democratic Party Central Committee to fill the seat left vacant when commissioner Maureen Frederick died on Nov. 28, 2017.
