Get to Know NEOMED’s December VITALS Speaker, Mark Paul

NEOMED’s VITALS | Visionary Health Leadership in Action speaker series presents a diverse range of experiences by innovative leaders in the medical sector. Next up: Mark Paul, president of Stryker’s Neurovascular Division, set to speak on the webinar at 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3.

A few career and personal notes about Mark Paul and Stryker:

  • Stryker Neurovascular is known for pioneering new technologies to treat hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke. Paul has been at the helm of Stryker’s neurovascular division for 13 years, leading one of the largest neurosurgery organizations in the world.
  • For nearly 30 years, Paul has worked in the less-invasive medical device industry. Over that time, he has led organizations focused on technologies and market development for the less-invasive treatment of neurovascular, peripheral vascular and cardiology, including peripheral embolization, abdominal aortic aneurysms and carotid intervention.
  • Paul started his career with Procter & Gamble, where he spent five years in sales and sales management. He has also served as Vice President and General Manager, International, for Boston Scientific Corporation.
  • A graduate of the University of Utah, Paul’s education also included time in Selwyn College in Cambridge, England, and the Universite de la Neuchâtel in Switzerland. He currently resides in Salt Lake City, Utah. He and his wife, Jana, have four children.
