Graduate Student wins annual competition

Assraa Jassim Jaboori, a second-year College of Graduate Studies student in the Integrated Pharmaceutical Medicine Ph.D. program, recently won a competition for grant funding. The annual competition is sponsored by the Integrated Pharmaceutical Medicine graduate program and comes with $2,000 that the student can use to fund supplies related to their graduate work. Assraa had to submit a five page grant proposal that was evaluated by faculty in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Grant funding awards improve a student’s chances for future funding, as well as giving them an opportunity to develop their grant writing skills.
