Health Literacy Display Created

The Aneal Mohan Kohli Academic and Information Technology Center recently recruited Bio-Med Science Academy senior, Amber Cocchiola, to create a display for Health Literacy Month. Amber, an intern in the Office of Public Relations and Marketing, was eager to take on this project. She created a poster to be a visual representation of what health literacy means, as well as a provider checklist that physicians can use to ensure patient understanding. This display can be viewed in the display case at the entrance of the Aneal Mohan Kohli Academic and Information Technology Center. For more information about health literacy and how it impacts communication with patients, see the Health Literacy library guide.
