Help Advance the Future of NEOMED

As we strive toward our medical degrees at various stages at NEOMED, the time has come again to prepare for the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) accreditation visit. The LCME is the U.S. Department of Education-recognized accrediting body for M.D. programs in the United States & Canada jointly sponsored by the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) and the American Medical Association (AMA). There are numerous aspects to this re-accreditation process, but one vital aspect is the Student Satisfaction Survey. This survey is a real, tangible and effective tool to instrument change at NEOMED for your class and for future classes that matriculate through the program.

While the official LCME accreditation process and Student Satisfaction Survey is scheduled for 2019, in January 2017 we will be sending out an unofficial survey to collect data on students’ opinions, identify desired changes at NEOMED and begin to address them. Your feedback is invaluable and critical to the continued success of NEOMED, its students and ultimately the physicians of tomorrow. This survey will take no more than 15 minutes to complete and can be done on your laptop, smartphone or tablet! We will be completely transparent throughout this entire process and keep you informed of the information collected and the steps taken to tackle any uncovered issues.

Thank you for your support and dedication to your education, NEOMED and the medical education community at large. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Tim Smile at tsmile@neomed.edu or Monica Gray at mgray@neomed.edu.
