As Dr. Langell mentioned in his weekly update, the NEOMED Foundation has made a commitment to support our students and community through this challenging time.
In addition to supporting students through scholarships and academic program support, the Foundation is committing to raise and allocate at least $100,000 additional from this year’s Blue Fund to address four specific needs:
- Expanded mental health services for NEOMED students
- A meal program for local families who are struggling
- Additional funds to address student financial emergencies
- New PPE for our students, faculty and staff, to replace what has been donated to local hospitals
To encourage support of this new effort, Huntington Bank has agreed to match any new gifts or increases over and above previous gifts to the Blue Fund for a total Huntington match of $35,000.
