Internationalization at NEOMED Open Forum, Oct. 27

Faculty and staff are invited to an Open Forum entitled “Internationalization at NEOMED.”

WHEN: Thursday, October 27 from 11 a.m. to noon

WHERE: Read Distance Education Center (RDEC)

The forum will provide an opportunity to learn about the University’s very active development of international programs including information about the Global Engagement Office (GEO), NEOMED’s participation in the American Council on Education (ACE) Internationalization Laboratory, and other related activities. The Open Forum is part of a day-long site visit by NEOMED’s ACE Laboratory Advisor, Robin Matross Helms, Ph.D., director of the Center for Internationalization and Global Engagement at ACE. Throughout the day, Dr. Helms will meet with University leadership and faculty and will work with the newly appointed NEOMED International Leadership Committee as it embarks on planning for internationalization activities. NEOMED is one of 10 institutions nation-wide selected by ACE to participate in the 2016-18 cohort of the Internationalization Laboratory. During the Oct. 27 forum, attendees will be introduced to the six pillars of the “Model for Comprehensive Internationalization” that will guide future program and policy development.
