Introducing Simon Robins, NEOMED's Newest Reference Librarian

The NEOMED Kohli Academic and Information Technology Center is excited to introduce our new reference librarian, Simon Robins, M.L.I.S., who begins his new role today, Feb. 11. Simon brings six years of academic librarian experience to this position, including training in medical librarianship from the University of British Columbia and comprehensive experience developing biomedical database instruction and restructuring of research networks.

Simon, joins the NEOMED library staff from Welch Medical Library with the prestigious Johns Hopkins Health System where he served as the Informationist Librarian and Consultant to students and researchers related to evidence-based practice. Prior to Johns Hopkins, he held the position of Librarian, Metadata and Quality Control Assistant at the University of British Columbia, in Vancouver. Simon earned his Master’s in Library and Information Studies from the University of British Columbia and his Bachelor of Arts in History and University Honors from Portland State University.
