The Division of Administration and Finance is pleased to announce that Jonathan Wagner has accepted the newly created position of Director of Business Strategy, Innovation and Purchasing. In this role, Jonathan will lead the internal Business Strategy & Innovation Committee and others throughout the campus to direct the reengineering of internal processes through LEAN initiatives, develop innovative solutions to reducing costs and delivering services and identify opportunities for realignment. He will also provide leadership, guidance and direction to all university departments and affiliated companies regarding purchasing and risk management. Jonathan will report to John Wray, Vice President for Administration and Finance.
Jonathan has been working in NEOMED’s IT Applications Development Group for the past 8 years and has progressed through several positions of increasing responsibility, starting as a junior database programmer and being named the manager of the group in 2014. During his time with IT, Jonathan has had the opportunity to work across the university on a variety of institutional projects, his latest being NEOMED’s move to Banner 9. He earned both his bachelor’s in computer science and master’s in business administration from Youngstown State University.
