Kudos, Updates and Questions Answered by President Langell

Weekly remote updates from President Langell have become a new tradition – one that continued Monday, April 6 with Dr. Langell sitting in front of a piano and a bust of Ludwig van Beethoven.

Dr. Langell sent out kudos to community and hospital leaders as well as NEOMED leaders like Joseph Zarconi, M.D. (’81), who is serving as the University’s medical director and representing NEOMED at regional meetings including those of Northeast Ohio health systems. (Note: Seth Brownlee, Pharm.D., associate professor of Pharmacy Practice, is now serving as assistant medical director.)

Thanking the campus community, Dr. Langell noted it was incredible how everyone “flipped a switch” some three weeks ago to become an online campus.

Dr. Langell acknowledged the stress everyone is under, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He urged each person to care for their own mental health during this time of widespread anxiety.

“We are going to weather this storm,” he said.
