Live Well for Life: February Health & Wellness Programming

"Live Well for Life" this month by participating in the following FREE programming. The following programs are available to all NEOMED faculty, staff and their spouses and provide opportunities to earn points toward the 2018 Wellness Discount.

Move Breaks
Occurring every Tuesday and Thursday at Noon, these sessions can be attended in-person or via live stream! Live stream sessions will also be posted in the Wellness Portal for participation at a later time.

  • Week of Feb. 6: Breathing Exercises, Ralph Regula Training Room
  • Week of Feb. 13: Breathing & Relaxation Exercises, Ralph Regula Training Room
  • Week of Feb. 20: Stress Relief/Meditation & Desk Stretches, Ralph Regula Great Hall
  • Week of Feb. 27: Desk Workout & Stretches

Wellness Wednesday
Join us for a foam rolling demo presented by Sequoia Wellness fitness staff. The demo will be an interactive demonstration to learn a unique form of bodywork/stretching that has the ability to improve posture, increase flexibility, reduce stress, tension and pain. Foam rolling has also been shown to improve blood flow to muscles, and can also improve joint range of motion.

Wellness Challenge
Registration for our next wellness challenge begins Jan. 29! "There is No Time Like the Pleasant - Relaxation Challenge" will focus on work-life balance and stress, two of the most predominant concerns in the workplace today. In this challenge, participants earn points for engaging in simple relaxation techniques throughout the day. Taking just a few "me" minutes to stretch, breath deeply...or even laugh..has proven to recharge the batteries, and improve overall work performance.
