Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s White Coat ceremony will be held virtually at 4 p.m. Friday, August 21. And while incoming Class of 2024 College of Pharmacy students won’t be helped into their new white coats by second-year students, as is NEOMED tradition, the event will still honor four such students who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment to the College of Pharmacy.
Being designated as a “coater” recognizes the four second-year students as role models for the incoming pharmacy students.
Since the four coaters will not be able greet the incoming first-year students in-person, cards were created with photos of the coaters and words of encouragement for the Class of 2024.
