Merit-Based Scholarship Applications due March 15

Multiple merit-based scholarships are available for students in the College of Medicine, College of Pharmacy and College of Graduate Studies. All scholarship applications have a deadline of March 15, 2018.

THE ALUMNI SHINE ON SCHOLARSHIP
This merit-based scholarship is to be provided to a student entering their final year at NEOMED who demonstrates an understanding of the importance of continuing support of NEOMED through the Alumni Association. $1,000 for the 2018-2019 academic year.

College of Medicine

DOWNING URBAN HEALTH M.D. SCHOLARSHIP
This merit-based scholarship is to be provided to a class of 2018 NEOMED-CSU Partnership for Urban Health program student who matches in a primary care residency training program. Primary care is defined as family medicine, pediatrics, and internal medicine. Up to three $10,000 scholarships for the 2017-2018 academic year.

GEORGE I. LITMAN, M.D., FACC, FACP ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP
This merit-based scholarship is to be provided to a medicine student entering their final year at NEOMED who is in good academic standing and has a firm interest in cardiology and cardiology research. $3,000 for the 2018-2019 academic year.

RAYMOND AND JACQUELINE BONIFACE AND RICHARD AND ELIZABETH YOUNG SCHOLARSHIP
This merit-based scholarship is to be provided to a medicine student entering their final year at NEOMED who is in good academic standing and a long-standing Ohio resident. $2,500 for the 2018-2019 academic year.

*This scholarship is named in honor of the parents of Dr. Elisabeth Young and Dr. Tom Boniface.

College of Pharmacy

ANN AND BARRY KLEIN COMMITMENT TO COMMUNITY SCHOLARSHIP
This merit-based scholarship is to be provided to a class of 2019 or class of 2018 pharmacy student who displays exemplary commitment to community service. Applicants must have community service experience in Summit County. $1,500 for the 2018-2019 academic year.

CVS HEALTH FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP
Two merit-based scholarship opportunities from CVS Health Foundation are to be provided to pharmacy students with interest in a career in community pharmacy practice. All classes are eligible. The standard charitable trust must award at least 25 percent of scholarship dollars to bilingual students. The Spanish charitable trust will be awarded to students who are fluent in Spanish. Up to $2,000 scholarship for the 2017-2018 academic year.
