Myth Busters: Family Medicine Edition

Which medical specialty is best? That’s the wrong question, if you ask a family medicine physician. So, the Family Medicine Interest Group organized a Myth Busters: Family Medicine Edition event to debunk the common misconceptions about their field.

This article by Mike Appleman, M.A. Ed., the associate director of NEOMED’s Rural Pathway and the Accelerated Family Medicine Track, and David Sperling, M.D. (’85), a professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine and the director of the Accelerated Family Medicine Track, recaps the event, with suggestions for how students could respond to the comments they often hear.
