Congratulations to NEOMED’s own Emily George, M.D. (‘13), named to Crain’s Cleveland Business’ 2017 “Twenty in Their 20’s” list of young people making a difference in Northeast Ohio.
As a NEOMED student, Dr. George demonstrated a commitment to helping the underserved by starting OutReach, a student-run organization dedicated to serving medically underserved residents in Portage County. Dr. George’s dreams came to fruition when the organization opened the SOAR Student-Run Free Clinic in September 2016. The clinic provides high-quality, non-emergent, no-cost health care services to more than 40 medically underserved residents in the greater Portage County area.
