NEOMED alumna Serpil Erzurum, M.D. (‘83) has been named the Chair of the Lerner Research Institute at the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Erzurum is the Alfred Lerner Memorial Chair in Innovative Biomedical Research, Chair of the Department of Pathobiology and a professor at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine. A member of the Clinic staff since 1993, she is also a practicing pulmonologist and a staff physician in the Respiratory Institute.
