Dinah M. Fedyna, M.D., (’82) passed away February 7 from ALS. A member of the second graduating class of NEOMED (then NEOUCOM), she went on to practice medicine as a family physician and served on the NEOMED faculty, most recently as the director of geriatrics and as a teaching preceptor.
In honor of her contributions to medical education and family medicine, Mercy Health founded the annual Dr. Dinah Fedyna Family Medicine Award for NEOMED students planning a career in family medicine.
