NEOMED Police Department Autism Awareness Fundraiser

April is Autism Awareness Month which provides us an opportunity to promote autism awareness and acceptance. Every 20 minutes a child is diagnosed with autism; including 1 in 59 childbirths and 3.5 million people nationwide. It is estimated that some sixteen thousand people have a diagnosis of autism in Greater Akron area, which doesn’t account for their families, friends, and the professionals who support them.The NEOMED Police Department has designed this custom patch to help show our love and acceptance, as well as to raise money, for those living on the autism spectrum.

These patches are limited and are only available until they sell out. We expect delivery by the end of this month. Pre-sale patches are $10 each or 2 for $15. All proceeds from the sale of these patches will go to the Autism Society of Greater Akron. Their mission is to improve the lives of all affected by autism through advocacy, education, support, and services.
