Congratulations to Ravi Adapala, Ph.D., (photo center) a postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Charles Thodeti, Ph.D. (photo left, with William Chilian, Ph.D., photo right), in the Department of Integrative Medical Sciences. Dr. Adapala was selected by the Microcirculatory Society to receive the Pappenheimer Postdoctoral Travel Award for Experimental Biology 2019, held April 5-9 in Orlando. Dr. Adapala was selected for his abstract titled “Deletion of endothelial TRPV4 protects myocardium against pressure overload induced hypertrophy.”
The award was available to member applicants who are within five years of completing a Ph.D. or first M.D. residency and submitted a first-author abstract on one of the Microcirculatory Society topic categories for Experimental Biology 2019.
Dr. Adapala’s work was also selected for oral presentation at the Association of Scientists of Indian Origin in America (ASIOA) annual conference held April 10, in conjunction with Experimental Biology 2019.
