NEOMED Scores High in “Changing Campus Culture” Report

Northeast Ohio Medical University received the top score—5 out of a possible 5—in the latest Changing Campus Culture report from the Ohio Department of Higher Education (ODHE). The ODHE surveyed all 88 college and university campuses in Ohio to determine the progress they have made this past year in complying with state recommendations aimed at ending sexual assault and violence on campus.

The survey found that 79 out of 88 institutions reported making significant progress in preventing and responding to sexual violence on their campuses. Among the changes, the survey reported more support services and resources for survivors of sexual violence.

NEOMED’s Center for Student Wellness & Counseling provides counseling and local resources related to sexual assault and misconduct as part of a comprehensive approach to wellness. To make an appointment, phone 330.325.6757 or email counseling@neomed.edu.
