NEOMED Students Celebrate the Festival of Colors

Laughing, yelling, and of course, colored powder filled the air on Friday, April 28 as students celebrated Holi. Often referred to as the Festival of Colors, Holi is an ancient Indian custom that celebrates spring.

Students had been encouraged to come dressed in white—the better to show off the rainbow of colors that they tossed on each other. The event allowed everyone to take a break from their studies and celebrate new beginnings with their peers.

NEOMED’s Holi event was sponsored by the American Association of Physicians of India Origin (AAPI). For more information or to join AAPI, visit their student organization page on Presence.
