The Greater Akron Chamber has recognized Kunal Amin, Pharm. D., vice president and director of clinical services for NEOvationsRx at Northeast Ohio Medical University, as one of the “30 for the Future” – young professionals making their mark on Greater Akron through leadership, mentoring and volunteerism.
Dr. Amin will be among the 2021 recipients to be honored at Canal Park in Akron Thursday, Oct. 7, at 5 p.m. The event is open to the public.

A 2009 graduate of the University of Toledo, Dr. Amin joined NEOMED in 2017.
NEOvationsRx is a telehealth service that offers individualized patient education on topics such medication therapy management. The service also helps coordinate pharmacy services with other health care providers to improve patients’ health outcomes.
In addition to his position at NEOvationsRx, Dr. Amin serves as an assistant professor of pharmacy practice and assistant director of experiential education. He has held roles including faculty advisor to American Pharmacists Association and National Community Pharmacists Association student chapters at NEOMED.
In 2021, Dr. Amin led multiple COVID-19 vaccine clinics, including at NEOMED and throughout Northeast Ohio, to help prevent and minimize the community spread of COVID-19. He also led an initiative to train more than 500 health care professionals across the country to provide COVID-19 vaccines.
