As most of you are aware, NEOMED’s Department of Public Safety supplements police staffing with contracted security officers. NEOMED has enjoyed our working relationship for over ten years with Tenable Protective Services (TPS). Throughout that time, TPS has worked closely with NEOMED’s Police Department to accommodate staffing needs, often on short notice. Additionally, TPS has adapted to the changing needs of the campus as we established our police department and as the campus continues to grow.
While we are thankful for the long-standing relationship with TPS and the service they have provided to the NEOMED campus, we are excited to begin a new security services contract with Garda World, beginning Monday, Nov. 2. Garda World is the largest privately owned security company in the world. They have a passion to deliver exceptional customer service and are committed to selecting and training a motivated workforce.
Since this transition will bring an entirely new staff of security personnel to our campus, we appreciate your patience and understanding while NEOMED Police Officers train the new security personnel over the next few weeks.
