Marcus Julius, M.D. (’94) is not only a practicing physician and a clinical associate professor at NEOMED.
He’s also now the author of a picture book called When a Medical Student Gets Their White Coat, which documents the steps that begin with donning that first short white garment. The book’s illustrator is Lydia Tarleton, a Youngstown State University graduate whose work Dr. Julius discovered in the pages of Ignite magazine.
A 1994 graduate of the College of Medicine, Dr. Julius was the keynote speaker at the Virtuous Healer Honor Society ceremony in August 2020. At that time, he was honored as the faculty inductee and the Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Faculty Award Recipient.
This year’s College of Medicine White Coat Ceremony is scheduled for July 23.
