NEOMED Police Officer Resignation

It is with very mixed emotions that I announce the resignation of Officer Kelly DiBona. After serving the NEOMED Police Department (NPD) for five years, she will be joining the Portage County Sheriff’s Office as a full-time deputy at the beginning of the new year. As happy as I am to see her move forward and pursue new opportunities, it is always difficult to see a great officer leave. As a founding officer of NPD, Officer DiBona helped shape this department into what it is today. Officer DiBona gladly took on tasks such as serving as a school resource officer for the Bio-Med Science Academy, planning and facilitating safety drills, teaching ALICE, serving as a field training officer for newly hired NPD officers, and representing NPD in county organizations, just to name a few. She filled all of these roles with integrity and professionalism and always completed tasks with diligence and thoroughness.

Officer DiBona’s last day serving NEOMED will be Dec. 29, 2019. Please join me in congratulating her and wishing her well at the Portage County Sheriff’s Office.
