The long-awaited renovations to our south corridor ― the area from the book store to the Regula Conference Center entrance ― will begin soon.
This past semester, the Sextant Group was hired to support the campus space redesign project which encompasses the south corridor portion of the campus. As part of that process, several focus groups were conducted to better understand NEOMED’s faculty, staff and student educational space needs. In addition to the focus groups, the University hosted two faculty meetings and solicited feedback from Faculty Council before making a final design determination.
The south corridor renovations will take place in phases.
The first phase of the renovations will include the Great Hall and Training Room.
Renovations will take place April 18 through Oct. 1, 2019. During that time, the Great Hall and Training Room academic spaces will not be available for use or scheduling any activities. Course directors with classes that may be impacted have already been contacted and are working with their respective colleges on alternate room arrangements. If you anticipate any need for either of these rooms during this timeframe, please contact the Office of Academic Services at x6349 for assistance with alternate scheduling. If you have Great Hall or the Training Room already scheduled within the listed timeframes, Academic Services will contact you and try to locate an agreed upon space to accommodate your needs.
We’re excited about the changes that will be taking place. And while we realize that there may be some inconveniences, we are certain that you will like the results.
Your patience is greatly appreciated.
