Sriharan appointed assistant dean for continuing professional development

It is with great pleasure that I announce the appointment of Dr. Abi Sriharan as assistant dean for continuing professional development (CPD) for the College of Medicine at Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED).

This unpaid appointment provides a college-specific, secondary title to Abi’s current NEOMED role of executive director, Office of Faculty Relations and Professional Development. Abi will continue to advance the College of Medicine’s CPD life-long learning mission, build bridges with the NEOMED faculty and broader community and advance research and scholarship around lifelong learning, population health and health outcomes.

This assistant dean appointment affords greater clarity to external stakeholders regarding Dr. Sriharan’s role for the college. More importantly, it provides needed alignment with LCME accreditation standards. Abi will continue to report directly to me as the vice president of health affairs, NEOMED and as dean, College of Medicine.

Join me in congratulating Abi on her appointment.

Jeffrey Susman, M.D.
Dean, College of Medicine
Vice President of Health Affairs
Northeast Ohio Medical University
