Student Named to Board of Trustees

Congratulations to Joshua Tidd, a rising second-year College of Medicine student, for his appointment by Gov. Mike DeWine to serve as a student member on the Northeast Ohio Medical University Board of Trustees. Tidd’s term runs from June 30, 2020, to June 29, 2022.

A native of Lima, Ohio, Tidd earned a B.S.BA in finance from The Ohio State University, and is now a student representative for Business Leadership in Medical Practice, a student organization at NEOMED that promotes interest in business and leadership among medicine students.

Among his leadership roles, Tidd is a class representative on the Student Impact Committee of the College of Medicine, which also serves as a student leadership group for the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) accreditation visits.

As a member of the Geriatrics Interest Group, Tidd organizes bowling events for classmates and senior citizens to help build relationships between the two groups. He also volunteers regularly at NEOMED’s Student-Run Free Clinic.
