Student-Run Free Clinic Marks 1,000 Patient Visits

Congratulations to the many students, faculty and staff members who helped the Student-Run Free Clinic at NEOMED  (formerly known as the SOAR Student-Run Free Clinic) reach the new landmark of 1,000 patient visits!

Did you know? More than 400 students are on the volunteer roster this year, including not only students from the College of Medicine and College of Pharmacy but also aspiring physician assistants from the University of Mount Union.

The community resource opened in September 2016. By 2017, it was named the Free Clinic of the Year by the Ohio Association of Free Clinics. This year, to continue serving during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Clinic has adopted a hybrid model, offering both in-person services and telehealth.

It has expanded to operate every Saturday.
