Students, Staff and Faculty Participate in MLK Day of Service

A number of students, staff and faculty teamed up to volunteer throughout Northeast Ohio on Monday, Jan. 20, in honor of NEOMED’s MLK Day of Service.

The day-long volunteer opportunities, sponsored by the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, brought together a total of 18 volunteers on their day off.

Together, volunteers helped at Hattie Larlham, a non-profit organization that serves children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities; Ronald McDonald House of Akron, a residence where parents are able to stay close to their child suffering from an illness; and Someplace Safe, a temporary shelter in Warren, Ohio, for women and children who are victims of domestic violence.
