Suzanne Hricko to Retire

On Friday, June 29, 2018, long-time employee, Suzanne M. Hricko will retire.

Suzanne began her career at the university in the Department of Medical Education. She was the first secretary hired in that department. Her primary responsibilities were exam and syllabus administration, and processing course evaluations. She served on several curriculum committees when the College of Medicine was in its earliest years, and continued with her exam administration responsibilities until retirement.

Due to the increase in class sizes, and an expanding curriculum, Suzanne instituted a volunteer proctoring program in cooperation with the Portage County Retired Teachers Association in 2007 to assist with exam administration. In return, the association receives a donation from NEOMED annually to support their scholarship program.
Suzanne will be the first to admit that the growth she has observed over the years at this institution is staggering. From a small building in a corn field, and a graduating charter class of only 48, to a university with three colleges, and incoming students numbering in the 200’s, it is understandable how such growth maintained her loyalty over the years to the institution.

Please join us in wishing Suzanne a very happy, fulfilling, and long retirement.
