Congratulations to Terri Robinson, Ph.D., M.P.H., CHES on her promotion to executive director of Academic & Library Services!
The Division of Academic Affairs and Student Services is pleased to announce the promotion of Dr. Terri Robinson as executive director of Academic & Library Services effective October 1 where she will oversee the Kohli Academic and Technology and Northeast Depository Library, Academic Services and Testing Services.
Dr. Robinson joined NEOMED in 2014 and provided oversight of Academic Services where she partnered with community clinical sites to promote medical student educational experiences, reviewed and tracked clinical assessments to monitor performance and graduation requirements for medical students, and served on university urban and rural curriculum committees to promote new learning pathways. In her new role, Dr. Robinson will continue to direct Academic Services (AS) with responsibilities for the university academic schedule, various elements of curricular support, and the development of related academic policy. In October 2018, she assumed the interim director role of the Kohli Academic and Technology and Northeast Depository and lead the Center and Depository librarians and staff to support NEOMED academic programs, investigators, students, faculty and staff. She also worked with NEOMED affiliated hospital librarians to ensure access to library resources and services. Dr. Robinson served on the diversity, equity and inclusion committee and in 2015 collaborated with senior leadership to implement diversity, equity and inclusion education summits to enhance NEOMED’s organization culture.
Prior to NEOMED, Dr. Robinson served as a certified health education specialist at the Summa Center for Health Equity, partnering with local legislators, businesses, and professional organizations to develop and enhance health promotion community programming. She planned and managed related grants and implemented multiple community health programs for diabetes, hypertension intervention and other public health needs. She also served for five years as the manager of Graduate Medical Education at the Summa Health System where she managed the Library, fifteen physician residency and fellowship programs comprised of 215 physician residents and more than 400 medical students.
Dr. Robinson holds faculty appointments in the College of Medicine and College of Graduate Studies’ Master of Public Health program at NEOMED and in the School of Health Sciences at Kent State University. She has taught for both universities and developed online and face-to-face courses at Kent State. She holds a Ph.D. in Health Education and Promotion and a Master of Public Health degree from Kent State University, and a B.A. in biology from Walsh University. Dr. Robinson is also a certified health education specialist.
