The Pisacano Leadership Foundation seeks to advance the specialty of family medicine by professionally and financially assisting accomplished individuals in their quest to achieve excellence in family medicine.
The Pisacano Scholars Leadership Program offers many career development opportunities, as well as scholarship funding, to the future leaders of family medicine. This is a very prestigious award with the opportunity to receive a scholarship up to the amount of $28,000 for the upcoming 2020-21 academic year.
The application deadline is March 2, 2020. This opportunity is only available to medicine students who will be starting their fourth year in the fall of 2020 who will be seeking a family medicine residency.
If you are eligible, I would highly recommend that you apply and begin your application as soon as possible. There are a number of items that need to be submitted and it’s important to give yourself ample time to prepare your application.
One of our alumni, Dr. Elizabeth Looney, received the Pisacano Leadership Foundation Scholarship in 2015.
