Thomas Klingler Appointed Chief Medical Librarian

The Oliver Ocasek Regional Medical Center (OORMIC) is pleased to announce that Thomas Klingler (TK) will join NEOMED as the new Chief Medical Librarian beginning October 1, 2016. TK will oversee library operations, work closely with the Northeastern Ohio Regional Depository, participate in the leadership of OhioLINK, and join the management team in Academic Services. TK comes to NEOMED with over 30 years of experience in librarianship and management, including time at the University of Akron and Case Western. Most recently, he was Assistant Dean for Systems, Collections and Technical Services at the Kent State University Library. He has published and presented widely on academic library topics such as library automation, collection management and planning, and consortia. TK holds a Master’s degree in Library Science degree from Kent State University and a Master's degree in English from the University of Akron. OORMIC is very excited for TK join the staff, and a reception will be announced closer to his start date. We hope you all join us in welcoming him to campus!
