As tornado season approaches, it is important to take a few minutes to identify your nearest tornado shelter. Campus tornado shelters can be found by visiting the Public Safety tab on DOCS. On the Maps channel, you will find recommended tornado shelters for main campus, The Village, and the NEW Center.
On March 23, there will be a county-wide tornado drill. Although we will not be sounding the tornado alarm at NEOMED during this time, the campus community is encouraged to participate in the drill by going to your designated tornado shelter for approximately one minute beginning at 9:50 a.m. The event aims to increase public awareness about the importance of preparing for tornado emergencies and to persuade individuals to take action.
