Nine advanced standing students recently joined their new Class of 2020 classmates in the College of Medicine. Four of the new M3s are advanced standing students who completed their pre-clinical curriculum at institutions throughout the United States or offshore.
The remaining five students join the Class of 2020 from the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education at the City College of New York (CUNY). Through an ongoing collaboration with NEOMED, students from the CUNY program may transfer to NEOMED after successfully completing their first two years of medical school and the Step 1 exam.
The students joined NEOMED in July, beginning with an orientation program coordinated by Student Affairs and the two-week Prerequisite to the Clinical Curriculum. All M3s have now begun their clinical rotations.
