Trees Memorialized Departed NEOMED Employees

Temperatures have started to dip, but NEOMED’s campus landscaping continues to thrive through the Tree Campus USA program, designed to help colleges and universities establish and sustain healthy community forests. Two of the 10 new trees planted on Thursday, Nov. 2, hold special meaning for the NEOMED community. Groundskeepers and students from NEOMED and Bio-Med Science Academy teamed up to plant Chanticleer pear trees in memory of Nicholas (Nick) Farkash and Gary Reed, Campus Operations employees who died this year. The trees were planted near the Campus Operations ramp, where they will memorialize Nick and Gary for years to come.
