Students,
Summer is in full swing! Whether you are currently on rotation, in dedicated studies, interning, or involved in other endeavors, the Center for Student Wellness and Counseling Services (CSWCS) is open for counseling year-round!
Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, we are providing confidential telecounseling for currently enrolled students. Due to State of Ohio licensure laws for mental health professionals, students receiving telecounseling must physically be in Ohio. If you are not in the State of Ohio and need services, you may call or email us and one of our counselors can assist with identifying supportive resources.
This is also a great time to remind you of Therapy Assistance Online or TAO for short! TAO is a self-guided, on-line tool, which allows you to move through the modules and sessions at your own pace.
A change in scenery can often bring about a welcome change in perspective, but many of us have been staring at the same four walls in our homes for months now. During this time of unprecedented travel restrictions, it might be a perfect time to try the guided imagery exercise in TAO called “Take a Vacation in Your Mind” found in the Mindfulness Library.
Want to know more about TAO? Check out our NEOMED TAO explainer video.
To access TAO, simple visit thepath.taoconnect.org and sign up. View instructions to sign up and begin using TAO. Once signed up, you may log in any time, day, or night 24/7. Modules do not need to be viewed in one sitting; you can pause them and return later!
In the meantime, if you want to give counseling a try, you may contact us via email Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Fridays until 3 p.m. at counseling@neomed.edu or call us at 330.325.6757 to set up your first appointment.
Sincerely,
