The Department of Campus Operations would like to welcome Jesse Zampedro to the Office of Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety (EOHS). Jesse is our new Safety Specialist and will be providing support and assistance to the programs under the management of the Office of Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety, such as EPA and OSHA compliance and hazardous chemicals and waste management. Jesse comes to us from AMRESCO Inc. in Solon where, as Environmental Compliance Specialist, he was responsible for operations involving the inventory, categorizing, storage and ultimate shipment of Hazardous Waste from their 90 and 180 day storage facilities. Prior to AMRESCO, Jesse worked at Boehringer-Ingelheim in Bedford, Ohio where he performed environmental testing for laboratory compliance and audit. Jesse received his Bachelor’s degree from Youngstown State University in Earth Science. He will be a valued asset to the Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety team.
