Welcome Lacey Madison, NEOMED Chief Strategy Officer

The Office of the President is pleased to announce that Lacey Madison, M.B.A., M.Ed., has accepted the position of chief strategy officer at Northeast Ohio Medical University, effective Jan. 11, 2021. As a member of the executive management team, she will identify needs, develop action plans and oversee the implementation and monitoring of the University’s Strategic Plan. Madison will focus on accelerating University performance through cohesive strategic plan execution, knowledge management and the implementation of a University dashboard for impact and organizational effectiveness. She will also ensure there is transparency regarding the strategic plan among divisions, business and academic units. 

Prior to joining the President’s Office, Madison served as the director of operations within the College of Medicine and its Department of Family and Community Medicine. In her dual role, she provided leadership, strategic direction and financial management. Madison introduced a shared value strategy, leveraging industry trends and stakeholder drivers across the value chain to develop innovative models, elevate operational efficiencies, and advance alignment with an institutional portfolio using a Lean Six Sigma framework. In addition, Madison strategized with cross-functional teams in senior leadership and fostered the calibration of goals, tactics and key performance indicator metrics to create horizon strategy objectives.

Madison received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Kent State University; her Master of Education in Agency and Community Counseling degree from Xavier University; and most recently, her M.B.A. from Youngstown State University. Madison is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt with proven talents in risk management and analysis, process mapping and change management.
