Welcome New Employee, Christine Curry

The Office of the President is pleased to announce that Christine Curry joined Northeast Ohio Medical University as special assistant to the president, effective June 3, 2019.  In this role, she will be providing executive level support and working with the chief of staff to oversee all aspects of the president’s calendar, appointments and engagements. Christine will also collaborate with the Division of Advancement to maximize the president’s fundraising efforts and she will assist the secretary to the Board of Trustees with Board meeting preparation.  This position is the result of an administrative reorganization within the President’s Office due to several departures related to the Voluntary Separation Program and other staffing changes.

Prior to joining NEOMED, Christine worked at University Hospitals as a development administrator, the City of Akron as director of communications and The University of Akron as director of development/stewardship and donor services. In these positions she managed calendars and schedules in alignment with strategic plans and goals; oversaw communications and relationships with internal and external stakeholders; designed individualized stewardship plans in addition to assisting with strategic plans; and implemented programming to increase diversity engagement with volunteers, donors and mentors.

Christine received her Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in communications from The University of Akron.

Please join us in welcoming Christine to her new role.

Jay A. Gershen
President
